Chad Michael Murray and Lindsay Lohan’s relationship has come “full circle” with the upcoming release of theirs Fucking Friday sequel, Crazy Friday. But Murray doesn’t want their renewed film partnership to end there.
“If we had the opportunity, it would be great,” Murray told PEOPLE during a recent interview about potentially working with Lohan on a holiday film in the future.
Both Murray, 43, and Lohan, 38, had Christmas Netflix movies this winter. Murray’s, Merry gentlemenit was published on November 20. Lohan’s movie, Our little secretbegan broadcasting on November 27.

“What a trip,” says Murray. “To be able to get back together at this time when we just finished shooting the movie [Freakier Friday]and now here we are both celebrating two Christmas movies in the same place, with Netflix, and they’re a week or two apart, it’s pretty cool.”

Murray and Lohan were filming Crazy Friday over the summer. Both will reprise their roles for the film, with original star Jamie Lee Curtis also returning as Lohan’s character, Anna’s mom Tess. It is scheduled for release on August 8, 2025.

“A chance to see someone who, gosh—even though we’ve been in and out of each other’s lives, we’ve known each other for 20 years or so, haven’t we?” says Murray of reuniting with Lohan. “And to watch her grow up, and to see her with her little boy, and her new husband, and just to share those experiences now that we’re grown up, it’s really special. There’s something very special about all of those moments.”

Which is why the actor would be very receptive to the chance to work together again – especially for a holiday film, of which they’ve both made several over the past few years.
“Yeah, if we had the chance it would be great because we could – I’ve been in and out and we’ve been all over the place while we’ve been working Strange Friday 2 — so to be able to sit down and do something where it’s just her and me carrying the world and both of our families can come on set, that would be a really nice thing.”
