“I’m afraid I won’t open my mouth,” she said in the post-crash video moments after Lawson was thrown into the air. “I’m afraid.”

Lawson’s professional partner, Artem Chigvintsev, explained that the 27-year-old reality star injured his jaw in the collapse. “Charity fell on her jaw quite hard and it hurts,” said the Russian dancer (41). – He cannot open his jaw at the moment.

“Here’s the thing: When you go epic with big tricks, these things can happen,” he added. – I just pray that he is fine.

An ambulance wheeled Lawson away, sirens blaring into the night. But luckily, Lawson was able to return the next day.

“I’m a cheerleader and this is the risk it takes to put on a show-stopping performance,” Lawson said. “Thank God, nothing is broken, so we’re fine. The show will go on.”

“Yes, it’s scary to have an injury knowing that I have to come back and do that exact movement with complete confidence,” she added. “But nothing’s going to stop me from bringing home the Mirrorball [trophy].”

Before her accident, Lawson said she wanted to do this freestyle routine to show off her experience in competitive cheerleading. “My freestyle will contain some tricks and hopefully leave everyone speechless,” she said. “I’m among the best of the best so I have to do something extra to stand out.”

And she stood out. Lawson’s routine earned a 10 from all the judges, an impressive feat considering both her injury and the fact that she hadn’t trained in the sport in “almost 7, 8 years.”

“I don’t think we’ve ever seen anything like that in history Dancing with the stars” said referee Derek Hough, while Bruno Tonioli called it “crazy”.
