The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is back this year and it’s going to be bigger than ever.
And that means having one of the world’s biggest stars as a musical guest. Who better to turn to than one of the pop icons?
Yes, Cher will perform at the show in October.
“It’s a woman’s world, so it stands to reason that you can’t have a fashion show without the mother of fashion herself—@Cher! We’re super excited to announce that she’ll be officially walking the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. But she won’t be alone…stay tuned to us, more announcements are coming to round out our first all-female line-up,” the brand wrote on Instagram on September 17.

In an all-female lineup with more names to be announced, Cher will take the stage on October 15 when the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show returns for the first time since 2018. Taking place in Brooklyn, NY, the show will feature some of the brand’s most famous faces on the runway , including Gigi Hadid, Tyra Banks, Paloma Elsesser and more.

When the brand announced in May that the show would return, it wrote on Instagram: “We read the comments and heard you. The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is ✨ RETURNING ✨ and will reflect who we are today, plus everything you know and love—glamour, runway , wings, musical entertainment and more…it gets even more iconic from here.”
Last year, Victoria’s Secret brought back the fashion show in a different form by hosting The Tour. The brand held a kind of show as a streamed fashion show with models including Adriana Lima, Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski and Hailey Bieber, and it was shot all over the world. However, although the event was a spectacle, fans of the brand wished for a show (with wings!) of years past.

In 2019, Victoria’s Secret announced the cancellation of the annual fashion show. The brand has faced criticism for its lack of inclusivity on the catwalk and many fans hoped this year’s announcement signaled a rebrand was in the works.
In a statement shared with People earlier this year, a representative for the Victoria’s Secret brand hinted that the 2024 show will be more inclusive than in years past. “The 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will deliver exactly what our customers have been asking for — glamour, runway, fashion, fun, wings, fun — all through a strong, modern lens that reflects who we are today,” shared a representative. “We are thrilled to share the articulation of this iconic, female-led property later this year!”
