“I don’t want people to recognize him on the street,” she continued. “But it bothers him that I’m famous.”

Although Payne and Cheryl split in July 2018, the couple co-parented their son together. “I see him twice a week, sometimes three times a week,” Payne said of Bear in 2022. “And I make sure when I see him it’s 100 percent of my time. I make sure I’m not on my phone or strutting somewhere else.” “So I like to give him those moments and it’s important, he needs that in his life, he needs a dad in his life and I’m happy that he sees me as a superhero and I hope he stays that way,” he added. Back in July, Payne posted a video on YouTube in which he revealed that he had been sober for nearly six months after spending time in rehab. In the video, he thanked Bear and Cheryl “for giving me some freedom to go and get better,” adding that “there’s no point in trying to be a dad when you have nothing to learn.”
The pop star also praised her son’s intelligence in the clip, saying: “He’s learning really fast, he’s way smarter than I think I’ll ever be. He’s a miracle and he’s definitely learning to speak at the moment, and it’s a lot of fun to be around and watch him grow.”
