Chiefs Wives Are ‘Happy’ for Travis Kelce amid Taylor Swift Rumors, Say He’s Keeping It ‘Private’: Source

In the midst of his rumored romance with Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce received support from his teammates’ husbands.

A source tells PEOPLE that wives of Chiefs players are among those rooting for the relationship.

“The wives of the players are happy for Travis and hope he continues to be okay,” a source told PEOPLE.

The source added that while Kelce, 33, is “keeping all of this under wraps even within the team to respect Taylor,” he also has the support of his fellow players.

“Everyone on the team seems to be super supportive,” says the source.

In the days after Swift, 33, attended Kelce’s game at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, the tight end addressed the uproar over her appearance — and the resulting attention it received — on his podcast and on social media. “I’m enjoying life and I’m safe enjoyed this weekend,” Kelce said New heights with Jason and Travis Kelce Presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment earlier this week.

“Shout out to Taylor for pulling out. That was pretty cheeky,” Travis admitted before adding, “I just thought it was great how everyone in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her — friends and family. She looked amazing and everyone spoke of her in a glowing light.”

He continued: “Seeing the slow-mo chest shots, seeing the high-fives with mom, seeing how, you know, the kingdom of chiefs was excited that she was there – that s— was absolutely hysterical and definitely a game I’ll remember, it’s damn sure.”

After 24.3 million people watched the game, sales of Kelce’s jerseys increased 400%, and ticket prices for Chiefs games, including this weekend’s game against the New York Jets, continue to rise.

Through it all, Kelce has remained steadfast in his own support for the potential relationship.

On Thursday, the football star responded to Mark Cuban’s seemingly playful comments on ESPN First Take that Swift should break up with him to bring some attention to his team, the Dallas Mavericks.

“Taylor…sorry if you’re listening to Travis. Cut it out, I got a bunch of hot singles playing for the Dallas Mavericks. I got you,” Cuban, 65, said.

Kelce made sure to respond to Cuban’s comments on X (formerly Twitter).

“Just sign me for 10 days,” Kelce wrote in post, teasing Aquarium for sharks investor suggesting he could then play for the Mavericks on a limited contract.
