The Discovery+ documentary Faking It explored the harrowing case and Jackson’s subsequent confession to police.

Experts reveal Jackson appeared proud of the gruesome killing after she told a 999 operator she tried to stab David in the heart but “he didn’t have it”.

Mom said, “I killed my husband, or tried to because I had had enough. Maybe I’ll go stab him again.

“I’m in the living room, he’s in the kitchen bleeding to death, with any luck.”

When police arrived, she branded her husband a “thug” and said: “I’m glad I did it” as he lay bleeding to death in the kitchen.

When she heard the officers asking for CPR, Jackson yelled, “Oh, don’t! No, no, please don’t. Ooh, I should have stabbed him some more.”

Body language expert Dr Cliff Lansley said of the shock admission: “She’s accused of attempted murder and she says, ‘Yeah, yeah, well, we hope it wasn’t attempted’, as if she’s proud of the actions that have just taken place. happened.

“She wants to get the message across: ‘I admit it all.’ There’s almost a bit of pride and flair about it as she goes back, ‘Yes, I admit it all, I’m proud of what I’ve done’.”

Forensic psychologist Kerry Daynes tells the show that Jackson is “emotionally distant” but still “absolutely cool and absolutely sure of what she’s done.”

She adds: “Of course you don’t expect this from a 66-year-old woman who lives in Somerset and has lived in the middle of England until now.

“It’s darkly comical, in some ways, but of course it’s not comical at all because here we have a dead man. We have a man who is a father, and he lost his life.”

As Jackson’s dramatic arrest continues, the pajama-wearing killer asks the police if he can go back and get his coat and slippers.

dr. Lansley points out that she is “certainly in shock” because she is dissociating herself from murder.

He adds: “It doesn’t excuse what she did, it doesn’t negate the testimony we’re hearing here, but that detachment from the consequences at this point and the disconnect with her actions is incredible.”

During the trial, Jackson said her marriage “just blew up” and the years of “putting up with violence, unwanted sex, belittling, stopping me from doing things, all those horrible things” were for nothing.

Before that, David held a knife to the throat of his abused wife at the family barbecue and allegedly forcibly controlled her.

She said the argument over her birthday dinner while on Zoom was the “last straw” because Jackson had always kept his 20-year abuse from her daughter.

David was angry because she made bubbles and squeaks with the lobster, crab and steak meal they were having.

Jackson “lost control” and first stabbed her husband in the bedroom before stabbing him again in the kitchen.

She then wrote a note of confession, saying: “Who cares, I’ve suffered so much abuse over the years – look at my files.

“But he was a good dad. However, the mask slipped tonight. That was unforgivable. I accept my punishment, may I rot in hell.”

During his sentencing, Judge Martin Picton said he saw “no shred of remorse” from Jackson.

He sentenced the murderous wife to life in prison with a minimum of 18 years in October 2021 for murder.
