She wrote: “Supposedly (the boy) is going to meet me outside of school.

“So he’s basically stalking me at this point.

“He’ll follow me until I talk to him.”

The teenager, who cannot legally be named, has now been found guilty of murder following a trial.

On January 27 last year, the teenager followed Holly for 45 minutes around Hexham, Northumberland, making sure he “made sure no one saw him”.

Creepy footage shows him staring at her as she walks into a pizzeria with a teenage friend.

The camera then catches him talking to Holly at the bus stop after she agrees to talk to him.

Seconds later, he lured her down an alley and stabbed her “many, many times”.

Pizzeria staff heard Holly screaming and rushed outside to find him attacking her with a kitchen knife he had brought from home.

They managed to “forcibly” remove the teenager, who claimed Holly was “terrible” or “terrible” to him.

Then he added, “Oh, what have I done?”

Holly was rushed to hospital after suffering 36 injuries – including 12 stab wounds and 19 cuts – in less than a minute.

Unfortunately, she could not be saved and was pronounced dead shortly after the horror.

When he was arrested, the boy – now 17 – told police: “I was going to kill myself, but it went too far.”

Newcastle Crown Court heard that Holly’s mum became so worried about the boy that she contacted the police.

The officers then agreed that Holly should not leave the school if she was outside.

The boy had previously admitted manslaughter but denied murder because his mind “went blank” during the attack.

He also pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent and an alternative charge of wounding after one of Holly’s male friends was injured while trying to help her.

Holly’s tearful mum pays tribute after the verdict

Holly’s mum Micala Trussler read a heartfelt statement about her daughter to a packed courtroom after the sentencing.

Fighting back tears, she said: “Holly was a beautiful child. She was my first born, a loving child who never left my side.

“She grew into a funny and happy teenager who would do anything for anyone.”

Mrs Trussler said there was nothing Holly couldn’t do and she would try any sport if only she had a go.

She added: “She fell in love with dance, it gave her a chance to express herself and helped her a lot with her confidence, she really felt fearless.”

Ms Trussler said Holly was a quiet student who “just got on with her work” and never got a bad report from her teachers.

The grieving mum said her daughter would “do anything to make people smile” and loved animals, especially her pet cat, who would wait for her outside the bedroom door and still does.

Mrs. Trussler added, “Holly isn’t there to answer the door, though.”

During his testimony, he claimed that he is not a bad person because he “helps the birds and stuff like that.”

The boy also told jurors he could not remember stabbing Holly, but he did remember getting the bus to Hexham that day.

Nigel Edwards KC, defending, asked: “The night Holly died, when you go to Hexham, what do you want to do?”

The boy replied, “I didn’t go there to hurt her or kill her, it wasn’t for that.”

Asked what he wanted to do that day, he said: “Try to take my own life.”

The teenager was kept in custody, and his sentence will be pronounced later.
