Chinna Jeeyar Swamy was an Indian religious guru and yogi, famous for his spiritual treatises on Sri Vaishnavaism. He was one of the youngest acaryas in India and mastered different branches of Vedic Dharma. In 2023, he was awarded the title of Padma Shri.

Chinna Jeeyar Swamy was born as Arthamuri Sriman Narayana Charyulu on Saturday, November 3, 1956, in Arthamuru village, East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India (age 66; as of 2022). Jaya Education Trust (JET)
Jeeyar Educational Trust is a non-profit organization established in 1982 by Chinna Jeeyar Swamy. Since then, the organization has been providing charitable and charitable services in India and internationally. JET established various schools of Vedic studies and provided education to many Vedic scholars. Later, Jiya Education Trust expanded its branches in many places, including Hyderabad (1983), Narayan Kund, Nepal (1985), Rajahmundry, India (1991), Madras, India (1993) and JET USA Inc. (1995). The trust helps educate students in the Vedic tradition. In 1984, Chinna Jeeyar Swamy established the Jeeyar Educational Trust Vedic University on the south bank of the Krishna river in Sitanagaram, Guntur district. The school started with 70 students. On May 3, 1987, he established the Pancharathra Agama School at Kakatiya Cement Factory, Jagayapetta, Andhra Pradesh.
Vikasa Tarangini
In 1992, he founded another non-profit service organization, Vikasa Tarangini. The organization provides free education, healthcare services, free cancer screening camps for women, disaster relief activities, pure drinking water, clothing and free food services and animal welfare camps to the blind and children of poor tribal and fishermen. Under the leadership of Vikasa Tarangini, he spearheaded many spiritual and service activities benefitting several communities.

In 2022, Telangana Rashtra Samithi supporters expressed their anger over Chinna Jeeyar Swamy’s “disrespect” towards Indian politician K. Chandrasekhar Rao during the inauguration of Ramanujacharya’s ‘Equality Statue’. Rao reportedly stayed away from the inauguration events and subsequent inauguration ceremonies as KCR’s name was removed from the plaque on the statue unveiled by Narendra Modi. On March 16, 2022, a video of Chinna Jeeyar surfaced online in which the Vedic philosopher mocked the tribal goddess Jatara Sammakka-Sarakka. Chinna Jeeyar questions the origin and relevance of Sammakka and Sarakka because according to him, unlike other Brahman gods, they did not descend from the sky. In the video, he calls the goddesses “just forest gods” and says:

Chinna Jeeyar’s remarks reportedly hurt the sentiments of the adivasi community, following which the association lodged a complaint against him at the Chikkadpally police station in Hyderabad. Some indigenous and tribal associations have slammed Chinna Jeeyar Swamy for insulting their traditional deities Sammakka and Saralamma and insisted he apologize for his remarks, saying:
This is the largest tribal festival in all of Asia. He insulted hundreds of thousands of tribesmen. “
In an interview, Chinna Jeeyar defended himself saying that he did not insult the indigenous people and said:
