Guests can now pull up a chair for dinner at Chip and Joanne Gaines’ Magnolia Table.
Magnolia’s co-founders will begin serving dinner at their Waco, Texas restaurant on September 20. The restaurant, located in The upper part of the fixator hometown of stars, previously only offered brunch and lunch.
All of the dinner dishes come from Joanna’s three cookbooks — Magnolia table Volume 1, Volume 2and Volume 3 — and an accompanying “personal story,” according to the press release.
Appetizers include piles of fried onions, sausage-stuffed mushrooms and bites of honey and butter biscuits — Joanna claims it’s “impossible to eat just one.”
Shareable dishes, soups and salads range from simple recipes, such as wedge salad, to twists on classics, such as brown butter and gruyere mashed potatoes. Another fun take on the classic is Joanna’s Stuffed Sweet Potatoes, whole potatoes with brown sugar butter and roasted marshmallows.
Wedge salad, steak frites and macaroni and cheese are some of the new dinner options at Magnolia Table.

“It seems like cheating to say that my favorite vegetable is sweet potatoes, but one bite of this recipe just reminds me how true that is,” Joanna says of the dish.
Orange-glazed salmon and steak frites are two of several main course options, but Joanna’s vegetarian-friendly grilled portobello is a highlight of the menu for her.

“I’m not always in the mood for red meat,” explains the mother of five, who shares sons Drake (19), Duke (16), Crew (6) and daughters Ella (17) and Emma (14) with Chip. “So these portobellos are always a good substitute when I want a steak.”
During the new dinner table at Magnolia Table, seasonal drinks and desserts are also available.

Joanna and Chip, who celebrated the 20th anniversary of their Magnolia brand and 20th wedding anniversary in 2023, opened Magnolia Table in 2018.

The place opened with a breakfast-centric menu because that was Chip’s favorite meal.
“I’ve always been a big breakfast connoisseur,” he said Southern Living. “I always do a heavy, bigger breakfast, but Jo is the complete opposite. She was nice enough to come with me to this one, and we’re going to have a breakfast together here in town.”
