Choi Woo-sik (also spelled Choi Woo-sik/Choi Woo-sik) is a Korean-Canadian actor and singer who gained international recognition for his roles as “Yong-sik” in the film Train to Busan (2016) and “Kim Ki-woo” in the film Parasite (2019).

Choi Woo-sik was born on Monday, March 26, 1990 (age 30 in 2020) in Seoul, South Korea. His zodiac sign is Aries. His English name is “Edward” and he is affectionately called “Eddie” by his friends and family. At the age of ten, when he was in fifth grade, his family immigrated to Vancouver, Canada, and he attended Pine Tree Secondary School in Coquitlam, Canada. He enrolled at Simon Fraser University (SFU) in Burnaby, Canada to pursue a degree in Arts. In 2011, at the age of 21, he dropped out of SFU and came to South Korea to pursue acting. He majored in Cultural Studies at Chung-Ang University in Seoul, South Korea.

Not much is known about his family. He has an elder brother and his family lives in Canada. There were rumors that he was in a relationship with the Korean actor Park Seo-joon. He later clarified the rumors that Park Seo-joon was his friend.

- Cui enjoys playing video games, hiking, surfing, skiing, and snowboarding.
- When he was 10 years old, his family moved to Vancouver, Canada. In his first few days in Vancouver, he was excluded in school, which made him less sociable. Talking about this, he said:
One day, I brought rice and kimchi and sides, because I didn’t know, I just brought a bunch of food, and they were like, ‘Oh, what’s that smell?’ They were like, ‘Oh, that’s the new guy from Korea, but he smells. ’ So they didn’t come to talk to me.”
- In high school, he made 14 good friends, all Korean, who helped him become a sociable person. He called his friends FF14 (Forever Friends 14). Talking about them, he said,
“They are really reliable. I can talk to them freely.”
- Choi wanted to be an actor, and in order to become an actor, he participated in an online audition in Korea. Later, he begged his parents to let him go to Korea in person for the audition. At first, his parents disagreed, but eventually they borrowed money to let him go to Korea.
