The actor’s comments come after he spoke to PEOPLE about slowing down his career to focus on his personal life in 2022.

Evans says he now thinks about what fulfills him outside of work and in life at home with his wife of a year, Alba Baptista.

“I always feel like I’m missing hobbies because when you’re a kid, acting is your hobby, but then acting becomes your job,” he tells PEOPLE. “And when your hobby becomes your job, there is a void, something is missing. You need things in life that are not for work, that are not for making money, that is just for you. And I would like it to be something new.”

Evans adds that yoga is at the top of his list of new hobbies, as is painting.

“My wife is an amazing artist, so she was going to take up painting. Maybe I’ll struggle with it until I realize how much better she is than me,” he jokes.

Red it’s in theaters now.
