After the match, which ended with a score of 1-0 in favor of the home team, the famous couple gave an interview to Prime Video in the Chelsea jersey.
When asked why she supports Chelsea, Chrissy confused the team with Ipswich Town.
She said: “Listen, I love the underdogs and I love coming in and being surprised at how much the team can do and I think we had a lot of fun cheering them on because they were all on the Arsenal side.
“Yes, I really wanted to give them the support they needed. When you said Chelsea, I was wondering, is Chelsea Ipswich? I don’t know.”

She also suggested that “soccer needs more goals” and “goals should be higher in the air” as ways to improve the game.
Chrissy teamed her Chelsea shirt with a half-and-half Arsenal and Ipswich Town scarf to watch her first Premier League game with her family.
However, her football knowledge was criticized by fans who called her “clueless”.
One took to Xu and posted: “I thought Chrissy Tiegen and John Legend were cool and then they go and do this! They’re not even the best team in the East of England.”
Another mused: “I wish Amazon covered PL all the time! They do it the best with the exception of the John Legend interview of course that s**t was awful!”
A third noted: “This John Legend family interview after the game on Amazon is chaos.”

One then tagged: “Amazon talking to John Legend and his wife who clearly have no idea about Arsenal, the Premier League or who the hell we played tonight. Hilarious creepiest thing I’ve seen in a while.”
Another then asked: “What is Amazon doing putting John Legend and his family on our screens, his wife said she’s a Chelsea fan because she loves the underdog.”
Chrissy hit back furiously on Instagram, saying: “You know who the biggest ‘p**iit***s’ are? People who don’t like football like me.
“I’m currently being grilled because I’m the world’s biggest football fan.
“Everybody’s jealous because I’m the biggest fan and they’re jealous.
“They’re jealous that he’ll never be a big fan like me.”
Chrissy then shared an old picture of herself wearing football gear before a game, writing; “Does this look like the face of someone who doesn’t know football?”
Her singer husband John previously told Prime Video that they are staying in London for Christmas and have brought their children to see their first Premier League game.
“This was so much fun,” he said.
“This is our first game in the Premier League and we are here for the holidays.
“We’re having a great time. You know, my friends, I don’t know the league very well, and my friends said, well, Arsenal are going to win by, you know, six goals.
“But it was a closer game than we expected, closer than we thought.”
Chrissy added: “We feel spoiled to be here, especially as people who don’t understand the game and the nuances as much as anyone else. So the fact that we can be on the field…”
