Chrissy Teigen, John Legend Have Stylish Date Night at Academy Museum Gala — as She Shows Off Chic Shorter Bob!

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend just knocked another couple style moment out of the park.

On Saturday, October 19, the couple stepped out for date night at the 4th Annual Academy Awards Gala at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles, looking like the ever-stylish couple in their matching cream outfits.

Legend, 45, wore a cream and white jacket with silk lapels, a white shirt with a black bow tie, black pants and black shoes.

Meanwhile, Teigen, 38, dazzled in a form-fitting strapless cream dress with a plunging neckline. The dress had a long train and intricate sheets of sheer silver-toned fabric attached at the waist. The model and author of the cookbook topped up with cream, and wore her hair in a shorter, voluminous bob. Teigen has already sported a bob look this year, including as recently as September in a stylish Instagram post, though she often steps out with longer locks. But her hair for the academy gala at the museum was significantly shorter and perfectly complemented her strapless gown.

After the glamorous event, Teigen and Legend are gearing up for Halloween with their kids: Luna, 8, Miles Theodore, 6, Esti Maxine, 20 months, and Wren Alexander, 15 months.

Speaking to PEOPLE earlier this month, the model and author revealed that the family “loves” Halloween. “But now it’s a children’s Halloween,” she said. “I actually prefer the kids’ ones because they’re so fun and cute, and during the day I can go to bed early and stuff.”

“Well, my kids don’t know any family that I want to be like, so I gave them some ideas. They were like, ‘Who’s that?’ “, she added. “My son wants to be like Marshmello, so he’s going to be, and I’m like, ‘They’re not for the family right now.’ ”

As she added, “babies, you can make them do whatever you want,” referring to her two younger children.
