Christian Michel is a British businessman and middleman. He was reportedly found guilty of corruption in the AgustaWestland deal. He was extradited to India from Dubai in December 2018.

He was born in England in 1964 (age: 54, as of 2018). His father, Wolfgang Max Richard Michel, was also a mediator between the British Labor Party and former Libyan dictator Colonel Gaddafi.

Initially, Christian Michel was the chairman and sole director of the British company Entera. He later started working at AgustaWestland and the former’s parent company, Finmeccanica.

- He was the alleged middleman in the AgustaWestland helicopter deal. He was extradited to India from Dubai on December 4, 2018. Indian authorities are investigating allegations that Michel organized bribes to facilitate the Indian government’s purchase of VVIP helicopters worth Rs 3,600 crore for India’s top leaders.
- Michel is one of two other middlemen accused by India’s law enforcement agency, the Enforcement Directorate, of taking commissions worth €70 million from AgustaWestland to bribe Indian officials who assisted him in doing so.
- He has also been accused in a Milan court of illegally obtaining millions of dollars from other companies over several years.
