Christie Brinkley is the latest celebrity to sing the praises of Dolly Parton — and her Dallas Cowboys cheerleader uniform.
On Nov. 23, the “Jolene” singer, 77, broke the internet when she took the stage with her Cowboys team during the NFL’s Thanksgiving Day game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Commanders.
Although completely iconic, Parton’s look — which featured a crop top, star-studded shorts with a matching little vest (all in the blue and white of the Cowboys’ team colors) and a sparkly fishnet covering her bottom — drew fierce comments and criticism. That’s because social media users were quick to question whether Parton should have looked like this at her age.

However, Brinkley, 69, is here to put the haters in their place. In an Instagram post released Wednesday, she proved just how much of a fan she is of Parton and her stage form.
“Whoever had the nerve to suggest that the one and only Dolly Parton dress her age, sit down! You should know that you can’t define an icon like Dolly Parton by a number!” Brinkley wrote alongside a throwback photo of her and the country superstar.
The model listed all of Parton’s “immeasurable” qualities, including her “countable talents, her boundless good energy and bubbly humor, and her loving, philanthropic heart of gold! And the fact that she can also rock a Dallas cheerleader outfit is inspiring and fun!”

Brinkley did not forget to mention the musician’s last career achievement: at the top Board scale with his 49th solo album, Rock starwhich peaked at number three and became Parton’s highest-charting album ever on The Board 200 cards.
“Well done, girl! I’m going to cut this to your killer outfit and just say, I LOVE YOU DOLLY!”
Additionally, Brinkley has set another milestone that she would like to see her friend achieve. “Maybe @si_swimsuit is next?” Brinkley suggested.

In the episode of November 27 ViewGoldberg, the co-host, said, “Seventy-seven-year-old superstar Dolly Parton stole the show on Thanksgiving Day at the Cowboys/Commanders game dressed as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, but some critics said she was acting her age,” adding: — Bite me.

In response to the negativity, Stella, 74, wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), “Personally, I thought my older sister Dolly was cute as hell in her Dallas Cowboys cheerleader costume at the Thanksgiving Halftime show.”
“To those of you who are so critical of a 77-year-old kicking up her heels, I say to… you. Shame on you, not her,” she added.
