Christina Hall’s Guide to ‘Ooh La La’ Holiday Decor Starts at Just $15

When Christina Hall isn’t filming the new season of her HGTV show or sharing pictures of her adorable kids on Instagram, she’s sprucing up her space — and right now, it’s all about holiday decor.

The Christina on the Coast star, 40, recently hosted Amazon Live to dish on the inexpensive pieces that are making her Newport Beach home look festive this season—all while matching her Bali-inspired interior. From faux eucalyptus garland to gold candlesticks, Hall revealed to us what pieces she’ll be creating her holiday table with this year, as well as some decorations and glassware for her bar cart.

“I used to start right after Thanksgiving, and now I start after Halloween,” Hall said with a laugh when asked when she starts decorating. Hall may have started early, but it’s never too late to add a touch of holiday magic to your home.

One of the more appealing aspects of the holiday table are the elegant candlesticks – and no one knows that better than Hall. “That’s what really makes the table sparkle,” she said of the delicate gold candlesticks, available in a set of 12. Since the wands come in three different heights, Hall creates dimension on her desk mount by placing them around a curving wreath to create a high-low effect.

“Real candles are for grown-up dinners, and flameless candles are for all other family dinners,” she joked. Her favorites include these remote control candles that can be set on a timer and really sell the look with the illusion of wax dripping.

Although tall candelabras aren’t the only way Hall likes to bring light to her tables: these sturdy votive candelabras have also earned a place among the wreaths. Hall announced that she was in her “golden era” as metal “looks a little nicer,” adding, “[This] is what will really give the table that ‘ooh la la’ when your guests come in.”

When you think of a traditional wreath, images of evergreens and pine branches may come to mind. But the California-fies hall is classic holiday greenery with fake strands of eucalyptus leaves scattered across her table. “Garland is such an easy way to add some holiday cheer,” she said. These tropical-looking strands are her favorite because of their faux nature, which prevents the branches from drying out and allows her to store them for next year. But she doesn’t stick to just one—Hall later places a wreath of faux rose leaves on top of a eucalyptus bramble to give her centerpiece even more height.

Her gold bar cart is also treated to greenery when Hall adds sprigs of fake eucalyptus leaves to the ceramic vase, a shade of green that customers also love. “For [the] price, they are definitely good and worth buying,” said one five-star reviewer.

Keeping with the green theme, Hall sets out these sage drinking glasses that she keeps on display “all year round” for her dinner guests. “These glasses … if you had them elsewhere, they could be up to four times more expensive,” Hall said. One customer agreed, saying he had seen the same type of glasses in luxury stores: “These are heavy, beautiful and [a] great price. I need all the colors.”

Her table is complemented by a similar set of beaded wine glasses, currently on sale for $40.
