Christine Brown Shares She’s ‘Never Had Anyone’ Like David Woolley in Her Life: ‘I Won the Lottery’ (Exclusive)

The Sister wives star exclusively opened up to PEOPLE about her once-in-a-lifetime love story with husband David Woolley, whom she married on Saturday in Moab, Utah.

TLC, 51 — who went public with their relationship on Valentine’s Day — says her current husband “has more integrity than anyone I know. He built his business while he was a single father, so that’s everything to him.”

She continues, “His word is his bond and it means everything to him… If he says he’s going to do it, he’s going to do it.”

She says: “He’s a phenomenal person, to the core. He is simply outstanding. Yeah, I just feel like I’ve hit a gold mine, Major. I won the lottery with him.”

Christine and Woolley, 59, got to celebrate their love in front of 330 guests — including Christine’s ex-sister, wife Janelle Brown. Christina’s ex-husband Kody Brown and her other sister wives Meri Brown and Robyn Brown (who is Kody’s only remaining wife from the Brown polygamy) were not present.

Christine and the businessman tied the knot earlier this year, which Christine announced on Instagram, sharing: “I finally found the love of my life, David. The first time he hugged me, it felt like my soul took its first breath.”

Fifteen months before she introduced David to the world, Christine announced in November 2021 that she was leaving her spiritual marriage with Kody (54).

Although the exes – who share children Aspyn, 28, Mykelti, 27, Paedon, 25, Gwendlyn, 21, Ysabel, 20, and True, 13 – are no longer together, they still appear on Sister wiveswhich is currently recording a family unraveling (Janelle confirmed in December 2022 that she and Kody had separated, and by the following month Meri was no longer married to patriarch Brown).

Unlike her previous relationship, Christine tells PEOPLE that her relationship with her current husband is “simple. It’s really simple. It’s a simple, simple life. And I didn’t know I could have a simple life with someone.”

She adds: “I didn’t know that I would find my soul mate.” I totally found my soul mate. He is completely my soul mate, and I didn’t even know it.”

She admits, “I come with a lot of complications, and he loves me — and that’s the best thing of all.”
