ACTRESS Cindy Morgan has died, according to heartbreaking reports on Saturday.

The film and TV star, fondly remembered by fans for her on-screen twirls in the 1980 comedy Caddyshack and 1982’s Tron, was 69.

TMZ reported Cindy’s death on December 6, 2024.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the actress’ death occurred near an outlet.

No further details were given as to when she died or what the circumstances were at the time.

The outlet confirmed that her body is at a local funeral home in Florida.

Cindy is perhaps best known for her role as bombshell Lacey Underall in the famous golf movie Caddyshack opposite Chevy Chase, Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield.

She played the niece of the owner of the country club, who got hot on the trot.

In 2012, she spoke about Caddyshack and her audition for the role: “Caddyshack was my first film, and I will say that the final product was completely different, it was originally about caddies.

“So, in the beginning, I had nothing to lose in the audition. It was fun. All I did was focus on making the person sweat. Look them in the eye, do what many women know.”

“The last few years haven’t been kind to her, but she’s always been positive and has a nice presence on social media.”

“So sad,” a third said simply.

A DISTURBING TURN

Cindy’s life appears to have taken a difficult turn in her final years, as revealed in a plea on social media two weeks before her death.

In December 2023, she wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “All I want for Christmas is a safe place to live! I have two weeks.”

She shared a worrying text messages with a woman who looked like her landlord and said “no agent”.

She claimed that the person who helped her break into showbiz “used” her and “turned her into the FBI.”

A BRILLIANT RESUME

Cindy was born Cynthia Ann Cichorski on September 29, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois.

While studying communications at Northern Illinois University, Cindy spun records at the college radio station.

She used the stage name Cindy Morgan, taken from a story she read about Morgan le Fay when she was 12 years old.

She then became a meteorologist in Illinois, worked late shifts at a local radio station and moved to Los Angeles in 1978.

There she became the Irish Spring Girl, the face of the soap brand.

At the age of 25, Morgan made her official acting debut in a 1978 episode of the sitcom Up Yours.

Two years later, she had her big break in Caddyshack.

Her resume includes an incredible 37 points.

She played two main roles in the action film Tron – Lora, a programmer in the real world, and Yori, her alter-ego in the computer-generated world of the film.

Apart from this, she has also acted in Galaxis, Silent Fury, Up Yours and other films and her latest credit was the 2022 indie film, Face of the Trinity.

Her TV resume was also full of noteworthy hits, with roles in shows like The Love Boat, Chips, Falcon Crest, Matlock and The Larry Sanders Show.
