Cole Hauser Says His Lucky Brand Line Is a Bit Cowboy, a Bit Comfort and Completely 'My Own Style' (Exclusive)

Years of honest ranch living have taught Cole Hauser what works and what doesn’t in his clothes.

That’s why Yellowstone star finds it “exciting” to have been approached by Authentic Brands Group to represent their two heritage labels: Lucky Brand and Frye. With the former, Hauser has created a completely unique collection of garments that evoke his decades of experience on the field (and in the saddle) going back in time.

The collection, which is highlighted by T-shirts with Hauser’s signature slogans like “Get up and get after it,” denim that the actor says was designed to be “in the saddle for eight hours, sometimes 10 hours a day,” outerwear, flannel and up, ranging in price from $39-$499 and includes sizes S-XXL. The entire collection is available now and eschews all of Hauser’s signature cool – while also returning to its “Americana” roots.

Fans may know the actor for his work on the hit Paramount series chronicling the existence of the Dutton family, but Hauser often spends his days off-camera in the saddle, putting the very ideologies he’s known for on screen into practice in real life.

“I wear jeans nine months of the year,” he says. “I wear cowboy boots nine months of the year. And for me… designing with Lucky was about trying to find a way to make them even more comfortable.”

That’s why fabric selection was key to his decision-making process when designing this collection.

“Denim is denim, but at the end of the day, the shirts – the buttons – a lot of the shirts I’ve worn on the show, it takes six months to wear them. I wanted to create a shirt and a button down that’s basically off a rack that you put on and it’s comfortable,” he notes. . “It’s a bit stretchy so you can ride with it and work with it. I think we’ve achieved that and that’s exciting.”

For Hauser, his singular goal with the collection’s aesthetic was “just [bring] brought back some old school vibes that I feel like we escaped from maybe the 90s, early 2000s.”

After all, the star wants fans to know that his work with Lucky Brand is much more than just attaching his name to an existing product. “I didn’t walk into Lucky and say, ‘Hey, what do you want to do?’ He recalls his experience. “The only jacket they have [already] he had [the] a truck driver with a pan. Everything else was created by Jimmy and I, who work at Lucky. And really, he got into the weeds with me about what’s missing.”

That ethos came full circle when Lucky Brand allowed Hauser to breathe new life into his favorite item of clothing for decades: his jacket from the 2000 movie. Tiger land.

“When I left the shooting of that movie, I carried it everywhere, in Hollywood and New York,” he recalls. “And people always said, ‘Man, where did you get that jacket?’ So I thought it was something we should bring back, and it’s flying off the shelf.”

Hauser notes that “it was important for me to bring some of my own style to Lucky, and not just Western style, but some things that harken back to what we wore in the 50s, 60s, 70s, and they You did a great job helping me create it.”

Most recently, Hauser brought his effortlessly cool outfit to Dillard’s at the Cool Springs Galleria in Franklin, Tenn., on Tuesday, Dec. 3, where he connected with fans over the new collection in an experience he says is “sweet to my heart.”

“I’ve been doing it for the last few years… I go and visit my fans and just talk to them and hang out,” he shares, adding, “It’s always important to me to make sure there’s a connection between me as Cole and the fans in America.”

After all, Hauser points out that he’s “one of them,” adding, “I grew up pretty humble with my mom, my brothers and sisters in Oregon and all over this country and I never spent time in Tennessee, but in Texas and Florida. And so yes I think it suits them, here’s an American who followed his dreams and was successful at it. I feel like there’s always a connection like that, which is nice.”
