Confusion as photo agencies issue ‘kill notice’ on Kate’s adorable Mother’s Day image after royal fans spot editing fail

THREE photo agencies have issued a “takedown notice” of Kate’s adorable Mother’s Day photo – after royal fans spotted an editing error.

Mum-of-three Kate posed with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis before sharing the photo on Instagram on Sunday.

But international photo agencies Reuters, AP and AFP issued “must kill” warnings for the family photo on Sunday evening.

Royal fans noticed that eight-year-old Charlotte’s arm was out of line with her red sweater in the picture.

It is common practice for image agencies to pull edited images.

In its “murder alert,” the AP said, “On closer inspection, it appears the source manipulated the image.”

The agency said in a statement: “The Associated Press originally published the photo, which was released by Kensington Palace.

“The AP later retracted the image because upon closer inspection, it appears the source manipulated the image in a way that did not meet AP’s photo standards.

“Photo shows inconsistency in position of Princess Charlotte’s left arm.”

The photo marks the first time the princess has spoken publicly since the operation.

It is also the first picture shared of the royal family since she underwent “planned” major abdominal surgery in January.

Devoted husband Prince William snapped a family photo in Windsor earlier this week.

Kate wrote alongside the photo: “Thank you for your well wishes and continued support over the past two months.

“I wish everyone a happy Mother’s Day. C”

It comes after rumors emerged about Kate’s health after William missed her funeral mass last week.

He was expected to do the reading, but dropped out due to a “personal matter.”

Kate has only been seen once since the operation, in the passenger seat of a black Audi while her mother Carole (69) was driving her near Windsor Castle.

She was wearing sunglasses and seemed to be smiling slightly.

It followed her “planned major abdominal surgery” in January at a London clinic.

A private hospital in central London also treated the king as he underwent treatment for an enlarged prostate.

Kensington Palace previously said Kate was unlikely to return to public duties before Easter.

The statement read: “The Princess of Wales would like to apologize to anyone concerned about the fact that she has to postpone her upcoming engagements.

“He’s looking forward to getting back as much as possible, as soon as possible.”

Kate’s uncle Gary Goldsmith also spoke about her recovery on Celebrity Big Brother.

He said: “I spoke to her mum, my sister, she has the best care in the world.

“And all the family did was set up the car and take care of the family first.

“They made a statement and just said, ‘She needs some time to (recover) and we’ll see you at Easter’.”

If the princess recovers as planned, her first engagement could be at a family service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, on Easter Sunday, March 31.

It comes after confusion over whether the royal family will appear as they review the dress rehearsal at the Horse Guards Parade for the Trooping of the Color on June 8.

This would be her first major public event since the operation.

But in the meantime it has been revealed that the Ministry of Defense put tickets to Kate’s event online before contacting Kensington Palace.

It is understood the Army will now remove the claim that the Princess of Wales will attend.
