Courtney Stodden Flushes 5-Carat Engagement Ring Down the Toilet 

Courtney Stodden rid their new home of the remnants of their previous relationship.

Former Celebrity Big Brother star is throwing away all the memorabilia from her previous relationship with ex-fiancé Chris Sheng — including their 5-carat engagement ring.

In a new video shared exclusively by TMZ , the 29-year-old — who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns — took a video in her bathroom and recorded herself throwing the ring down the toilet.

“Just doing some last minute spring cleaning before summer,” they said before grabbing their diamond ring from the jewelry box.

“I guess diamonds aren’t always a girl’s best friend after all,” Stodden continued as they walked straight to the bathroom and promptly threw the ring away.

They waved at the toilet and chuckled to themselves before turning back to the mirror and announcing, “On to the next chapter.”

They told TMZ that the ring toss was inspired by James Cameron Titanic.

“Like the little old woman who ended up dropping it in the ocean, I needed to get rid of all the remnants of the past that no longer had any effect on me. Rose’s character taught me something special – what a woman does with her diamonds is her prerogative,” he explained. Stodden for the outlet.

In July 2023, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that Stodden had broken off his engagement with director Sheng, 44. “Courtney is now a single woman,” the star’s rep said in a statement to Page six in that time. “She can’t wait to tell her story.”

Sheng proposed in 2021, and Stodden later announced the news on Instagram. “I said yes… Oh and the ring made me gag it’s so pretty,” they wrote in the now-deleted post.

Before her relationship with Sheng, the model was married to actor Doug Hutchison. Stodden married the actor in 2011 at the age of 16. The former couple divorced in 2020.

Since their relationship with Hutchinson and Sheng, the TV personality has been romantically linked to producer Jared Safier. They started dating the Emmy winner, 41, last summer, and their romance is “moving very fast and very serious,” an insider told TMZ. The outlet reports that the producer has been shopping around and hopes to pop the question soon.
