CUET UG Result 2023: The National Examinations Authority (NTA) has announced the CUET UG 2023 Result. Candidates who have taken the Joint University Entrance Examination can check the results on the official website: cuet .samarth.ac.in. They must enter their credentials to access the leaderboard. CUET UG Scoreboard 2023

After the results are announced, candidates can download the scorecards from the official website. The CUET 2023 results sheet can be used to apply for admission to participating universities. CUET 2023 transcripts contain important details including eligibility scores, status, etc. Participating universities will use these transcripts to prepare merit lists. Each university/college will publish its own CUET 2023 List of Merit.

How to calculate CUET UG 2023 results?

CUET 2023 results will be prepared by the National Examinations Authority using the “percentage method”. This method will be used to standardize the raw scores of each candidate in each subject. In the event that the CUET exam is administered in multiple shifts for a particular subject, the raw scores will be converted to standardized scores on a standardized scale.

Steps to calculate CUET 2023 results

Candidates can go through the guide below to understand how CUET UG 2012 results are calculated.

Step 1: Convert raw points to CUET percentage points

To calculate standardized scores for candidates who have taken the exam in different exams for a particular subject, the percentage of each group of students for each shift will be calculated based on their raw scores. This will be done using the formula to calculate the CUET percentage score.

Step 2: Sort CUET percentages in descending order

Consider six students named Stu1, Stu2, Stu3, Stu4, Stu5 and Stu6. In which, Stu2, Stu4 and Stu6 take the test in shift 1, while Stu1, Stu3 and Stu5 take the test in shift 2, all of which are on the same topic. Using the raw scores obtained by these students, the percentage of these 6 students (PStu1, PStu2, PStu3, PStu4, PStu5, PStu6) in a particular subject is first calculated. Those percentages are then sorted in descending order. Corresponding to their percentage, we also recorded their raw scores (RMStu1, RMStu2, RMStu3, RMStu4, RMStu5, RMStu6) from the test in each shift.

Step 3 – Determine the point through linear interpolation

Linear interpolation is a mathematical technique used to estimate the missing scores of students who were absent from one shift but took the test on another shift. In case some students (Stu2, Stu4, Stu6) study shift 1 but do not study shift 2, the raw score of shift 2 will be missing. Similarly, for students (Stu1, Stu3, Stu5) appearing in shift 2, their scores in shift 1 will not be missed. To solve this problem, we use interpolation to calculate the missing score for each candidate in each shift.

Step 4: Calculate the normalized score on the standardized scale

After sorting the percentage scores of the candidates in descending order, including the raw and interpolated scores for each change, we can proceed to calculate the normalized scores. Raw scores were obtained from the case in which the student participated in the writing workshop, while interpolated scores were estimated for the second shift when the student did not have the opportunity to rework the workshop on the same topic.

For each student, the National Testing Agency (NTA) calculates the average of the actual raw scores in one shift and the interpolated scores in the other. These averages will serve as normalized scores on the overall scale.

What after the announcement of CUET 2023 results?

After the announcement of CUET UG 2023 results, participating institutions will open a window for applicants to apply. They will have to visit the official website of the specific university they wish to apply to. After that, the establishments will announce the list of successful candidates and the list of merit.

Shortlisted candidates must continue with the seat allocation process. They will have to confirm their seat and report to the designated university to verify documents and pay the required fees. Universities/Colleges can roll out as many rounds as they need to fill vacancies.
