Dakota Johnson Says Sleep is ‘Number One Priority in Life’

Dakota Johnson loves her beauty sleep.

The Fifty shades of grey alum said The Wall Street Journal that if he sleeps less than 10 hours a night, he cannot function properly. She added that she can sleep for 14 hours straight without any problems.

“My dream comes first in my life,” said the 34-year-old actress.

Johnson also explained that she doesn’t have a set wake-up time every day. Instead, he plans his sleep routine for each day. “If I’m not working, if I have a day off on Monday, then I’ll sleep as much as I can,” she said.

In addition to getting enough sleep, Johnson said she works out five days a week – a mix of hot yoga, Pilates and weight training. He also meditates twice a day.

“I practice transcendental meditation,” she continued. “Recently I’ve been really into breathing and it’s helped a lot with my anxiety.”

Dakota Johnson says she has ‘struggled with depression’ since she was 14: ‘I feel the world’

Mental health is something that Madame Web the star did not hesitate to talk about it. In the interview for 2020 Marie Claireshe opened up about dealing with depression since her teenage years.

“Then, with the help of the professionals, I said, ‘Oh, this is something I can get into.’ But I learned to consider it beautiful because I feel the world. I guess I have a lot of complexities, but they don’t come out of me. I don’t make it anyone’s problem,” she told the news portal.

Her father, Don Johnson, praised her ability to make her own decisions in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in May. “We don’t interfere in each other’s worlds, we’re father and daughter,” he said of their mutual respect for each other’s careers.

On whether his daughter would ever give him advice, he joked: “I don’t know what advice she would give me at this point, but probably ‘Go away, Dad’!”
