Dan and Eugene Levy Lean Into Their Signature Styles at the 2024 Emmys

The Levys have arrived!

Eugene and Dan Levy, hosts of the 2024 Emmy Awards, hit the red carpet before heading to the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles to host the show, showing off their stylish cuts and father-son bond.

Eugene kept it classic in a black tuxedo with a lavender tie, while Dan dressed it up in a black tuxedo and silk white shirt with a unique structured collar that went up to the right side of his neck from Loewe. Both accessorized their ensembles with their signature glasses—Dan’s with a bold black rim and Eugene’s with a round frame.

This is the first time that the comic couple and Schitt’s Creek alumni co-hosted the Emmys.

“My dad and I are not stand-up comedians, so we come at it from a very different place,” Dan, 41, told PEOPLE earlier this month. “But we’re both very hard workers and we’re determined to do the best we can. We want to create an atmosphere that’s really welcoming and celebratory. It’s a big night in so many people’s lives and I just want to be there to make it as festive as possible.” for everyone.”

For Eugene, 77, this is a moment of reflection. “As beginners, we hope this year’s show will have enough laughs, enough charm, enough good will and enough love for the medium that gave my son and I a start in this business,” he added.

The Emmys stage is familiar to the Levy family. The two have 20 nominations and eight trophies. Both have earned a lot of praise in recent years for their work on Schitt’s Creekand for the show they share the award for the best comedy series of 2020.

Eugene’s daughter, Sarah Levy, also starred in the series.

The duo teased their Emmy looks for the night ahead of the show, saying their approach to fashion will be a little different for the two of them.

Dan said he could change his clothes a bit. “I just feel that if you have the chance, why not?”

“I told my dad early on, ‘I think I’m going to change that on the whole show.’ And he said, ‘Have fun.’ I’ll provide all the costume changes, and he’ll be my rock through it all,” Dan added.

As Eugene said, “I won’t even try to compete with my son when it comes to fashion.”
