Dan Aykroyd's Teen Daughter Threw a Party Where They Drank a Case of $900 Per Bottle Wine (Exclusive)

The actor recounts the moment in an exclusive clip for PEOPLE from his upcoming series ‘A History of the World in Six Glasses’

Dan Aykroyd looks back on the moment in time when his eldest daughter served some very expensive alcohol during a party as a teenager.

In a clip from the actor’s upcoming series Fox Nation, The history of the world in six glassesthat PEOPLE can exclusively share, Dan, 71, recounts when his daughter Danielle Aykroyd, who is known professionally as Vera Sola, and her friends drank “a whole crate” of Chateau Margaux during a high school reunion.

Noting that each bottle of wine in the box costs $900, Aykroyd reiterated to guests Jim Belushi and Kevin Nealon that despite Danielle throwing “a little party,” she and her guests drank “all” of the expensive liquor.

In response, Belushi, 69, declared: “Oh, it’s such a beautiful wine,” before Dan teased: “Even today I get goosebumps when I mention it.”

The Ghost busters the star added in a voiceover: “I still bring it up every chance I get – it’s called good parenting.”

The history of the world in six glasses is a six-part docu-comedy coming to Fox Nation later this month.

Along with Dan, Belushi and Nealon (70), the show also features Jon Lovitz and Cheers star George Wendt, and is helmed by writer-director Rob Long, former executive producer of the NBC series.

The show will “trace the history of beer, wine, spirits, coffee, tea, sodas and their impact on the world,” according to a press release.

“I laughed out loud watching every episode and learned so much about the cultural impact of these iconic beverages,” Fox Nation president Jason Klarman said in a statement about the Play House Studios-developed series.

The history of the world in six glasses is scheduled to air on January 8.
