Danielle Olivera and Joe Bradley Had an ‘Instantaneous Connection’: ‘Like We Were in a Movie’ (Exclusive)

Joe Bradley talks all about his new romance with Danielle Olivera.

The southern hospitality the star, 28, couldn’t help but rock hers Winter house belle as he sits down with PEOPLE between shifts at Republic Garden & Lounge in Charleston, South Carolina to discuss the upcoming second season of his hit Bravo series.

“It was an instant connection,” Bradley says of Olivera, who he first met at BravoCon earlier this month in Las Vegas. “Before we even spoke, we were making eye contact from across the room and you could tell there was some tension. We were attracted to each other.”

Bradley didn’t hide his feelings either. “That day I was asked on a panel with some of Winter house guys if I had my eye on any other Bravolebrity and I just told Danielle even though I haven’t talked to her yet. I thought, ‘That girl Danielle is really pretty.’ And she didn’t even know I said that, but the next night, we started kissing and I took her back to my apartment…”

“…And yes,” he says with a smile. “We had a great time.”

About ten days later, the two were back together, with Bradley supporting Olivera in the audience during her November 14 appearance at Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

“She invited me to New York and I thought she was just kind of saying that in the moment. Like, ‘Oh yeah, you should come.’ But two days later she said, ‘Hey, have you booked your flight yet?’ And I said, ‘Oh, wow, she was serious!’ ” he recalls. “And the next thing I remember, they turned on the microphone and I was sitting in the audience WWHL.”

“I thought that they would want to keep me somewhat modest, because it is very fast, but WWHL he gave us a heavy lunch,” he says. “There’s no going back now. And that’s okay because I move quickly when I know I like someone.”

That trip to New York City confirmed to Bradley that there was something special between the two of them. “It went really well,” he says. “She made a point of being around and as we walked the streets of Brooklyn it was like we just had nothing else to do. All our stress was gone. It was an amazing few days. It felt like we were in a movie.”

“Danielle is gorgeous, that goes without saying. But I really like that she’s just herself,” Bradley tells PEOPLE. “She’s been on reality TV for years and you can see it hasn’t changed her at all. She’s still a girl who wants to go to a sports bar and drink a beer. She’s still pursuing a career outside of this industry. She’s driven; she’s going after what what he believes in. And he’s just so cool.”

“I keep talking [Southern Hospitality] about how all the girls in Charleston are the same. Danielle is unique,” he says.

Well done viewers who followed the 1st season southern hospitality i know bradley as a relationship-oriented group guy who can be a bit of a hopeless romantic. It’s something he says he developed as he got older.

“I’ve seen a clear shift in the past year or two,” Bradley explains. “The older I get, the more I want something real. And I fall in love easily, which might make me look like a gamer on the surface, but I’m really not. Really simple, I like to connect with people. And I don’t mind some other guys in Charleston, but I don’t really want to be in my mid-thirties and still lead this lifestyle of taking a different girl home every weekend. I’ve kind of been there, done that. I’m over it.”

“I think that’s why I go for older girls because they know what they want,” Bradley says. “Danielle, she’s a girl who, she wants something safe. We have a lot in common there.”

Bradley and Olivera will next be together this weekend when she comes to visit him in Charleston after filming Winter house reunion. “They will be able to see me in my natural habitat,” he says. “And I’ll be able to show her Charleston, which I love. That’s why I work in hospitality; I love showing people how amazing this city is. So to show it to someone I like will be special.”

“I’m giddy,” Bradley continues, looking forward to the weekend with Oliver. “This is the first time I’ve brought a girl to town, and this is her first time here, so I plan to stop everything. It’s what she deserves.”

“I was thinking about her all the time,” he says. “Wish me well with him!”
