Dave Grohl’s daughter appears to have deactivated her Instagram following news that her rocker father fathered a fourth daughter out of wedlock.
On Tuesday, September 10, the rocker released a statement on his Instagram, sharing that he recently fathered a child with a woman outside of his marriage to longtime wife Jordyn Blum. As of Tuesday afternoon, Grohl’s 18-year-old daughter Violet’s Instagram remains deactivated, though the exact date she shut down the account is unclear.
Grohl shares Violet and his two other daughters, Ofelia, 10, and Harper, 15, with Blum, his wife of 23 years.

“I recently became the father of a new daughter, born out of wedlock,” Grohl wrote in a statement he shared on Instagram on September 10.
“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children and I’m doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” he continued. “We are grateful for your consideration for all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
At Glastonbury 2023 in June 2023, Grohl introduced his eldest child on the Pyramid Stage, before performing a song from his band’s latest album, But here we are.
“My favorite singer in the world,” said Grohl, when Violet appeared on stage. “This is a song I wrote for my mother, Violeta’s grandmother. This is “Show Me How”. ”

Grohl yelled “That’s my girl!” as the father-daughter duo finished the song. “I love it when you’re on stage with your daughter and you hit a bad note,” he also joked.
Earlier that year, Grohl appeared with his wife and three daughters at the 2023 Grammy Awards, smiling together as they walked the carpet.
The musician sported his signature rock style with black-rimmed glasses as he posed with his family on the red carpet. Blum opted for a short black sequined dress covered in white lace with dropped shoulders.
Violet teamed a blazer dress and knee-high boots with red lipstick, while Harper wore a vintage-inspired floral dress with platform boots. Ophelia posed in front of her family, wearing a flowing ombre dress and a gold handbag.
