David Beckham Celebrates Marc Anthony’s 55th Birthday: ‘Once a Brother, Always a Brother’

David Beckham has only love for his “brother”, Marc Anthony.

The athlete (48) celebrated Anthony’s 55th birthday on Saturday by sharing two sweet posts on his Instagram Story.

“Once a brother always a brother 🤍,” Beckham wrote alongside a black and white photo of himself and Anthony. “Happy birthday man, I love you.”

In another picture celebrating their longtime friend, Beckham and Anthony smiled as they posed with glasses of red wine in front of a stocking-decorated fireplace during the holiday season.

“We laugh as one 🤍,” he captioned the smiling photo.

Earlier this month, Beckham surprised the Latin pop singer by getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“So proud of another incredible achievement by my brother and so well deserved,” Beckham wrote in an Instagram post. “It’s an honor to be with you 🩷 I love you man @marcanthony ⭐️.”

His arrival at the dedication ceremony came as a shock to Anthony, who broke down in tears as Beckham gave a moving speech in honor of his friend.

“So I first met Marco 20 years ago when I was playing for Real Madrid. It’s probably not a very cool thing to say, but I was really excited when I met Marco because I used to listen to his music on the way to every Real Madrid game. Now I dress a bit like him. I only learned salsa for one man – but please don’t tell my wife,” Beckham said in the speech, per Access to Hollywood.

He continued: “But when we met, we immediately had a special connection. I knew I had a friend for life. Over the years our friendship has grown, and Marc is family – he’s my son Cruz’s godfather and someone I love spending time with.”

Anthony had a baby with wife Nadia Ferreira in July, and Beckham was one of the first people to meet the newborn.

The “You Sang to Me” singer took to Instagram to share a sweet photo of Beckham kissing a child’s foot. In the caption, he wrote: “Tío David nos vino a visitar. Que bendición,” which translates to “Uncle David has come to visit us. What a blessing.”

At Anthony’s wedding to the model in January, Beckham was best man and stood beside his longtime friend as he said, “I do.”

In a wedding video montage that Ferreira, 24, and Anthony posted on Instagram after the wedding, Beckham appears to be toasting the couple at the reception.

Beckham’s wife, Victoria Beckham, also designed Ferreira’s bridesmaid dresses.

In an Instagram post congratulating the couple on their marriage, the designer wrote: “We love you both so much and it was such an honor to be a part of your special day.”
