David Beckham acknowledges Lionel Messi’s legend status.

In the announcement for the new Apple TV+ documentary series, Messi meets Americathe co-owner of Inter Miami CF, 48, is delighted with the 36-year-old footballer.

The six-part series promises an “inside look” at the latest chapter in Messi’s life and career — including his 2023 League Cup title and Major League Soccer debut — told through exclusive interviews with the Argentine soccer star and his new Inter Miami family.

“My happiness has always been to play football,” Messi says in the trailer. “And now I can continue to do that here.”

The series is executive produced by Scott Boggins, Patrick Milling Smith and Brian Carmody, as well as Tim Pastore and Matt Renner, who both worked on the Emmy-winning documentary Free Solo. It is also produced by SMUGGLER Entertainment in association with MLS.

Messi meets America it is not the first time that Beckham has openly praised his star.
