Relationships, Wife and Children
In the 1990s, he met the famous British model Stella Tennant while working as a photographer in New York and assisting her with modeling photos. Soon, they became friends and fell in love. On Tuesday, June 22, 1999, the couple married in a private ceremony at the small parish church in Oxnam, Scotland, with only 75 guests in attendance. At the time of the wedding, their first child, Marcel, was already 9 months old.

Profession
After a few months at film school, he began his career as a colorist in a lab. Later, in a cafe, he met the famous Peruvian fashion photographer Mario Testino, who asked David to be his model. David replied,
I don’t know, I must have been tanned by then. You know, I wasn’t interested in being in front of the camera, but I really needed a job.”
Then Mario decided to hire David as an assistant photographer. After working for several years with top fashion photographers Mario Testino and Paolo Roversi, David decided to quit his job as a photographer and start working as an osteopath. In an interview, David said,
I worked with Testino and Paolo Roversi for many years and became a successful photographer. I was never like Juergen Teller or David Sims, who really knew what they were interested in. I was just surviving. Although I didn’t realize it at the time, I thought it was a safe way to understand the world.”
He owns an osteopathic clinic, ‘Soma Osteopathy’, at 21 Queen Charlotte Street, Edinburgh.
