Da’Vine Joy Randolph went all out with her Oscar-winning debut look!
The actress and front-runner — who took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the The Holdovers – dressed to impress at the 96th Academy Awards on Sunday.
Before taking to the stage to accept her award, Randolph, 37, arrived on the red carpet in a bespoke Louis Vuitton gown in a stunning shade of pale blue.
The powdery, pastel gown featured contrasting textures and several stunning details including a glittery bodice, sheer skirt, boa-like sleeves and a train that trailed a few feet behind the actress.

To top off the look, she channeled Old Hollywood glamor with a wavy, blonde side part and added an extra touch of sparkle with sparkly earrings and glossy lips.

It’s no surprise that Randolph delivered such a killer look for her first trip to the Oscars. Before awards season, the actress told PEOPLE, “I’m a fashion girl. I love the details. I do mood boards for every red carpet, I pull hair references, nail references, makeup references, different wardrobe samples.” She wore several glamorous looks during awards season, including a custom burgundy Rodarte gown with an embellished bodice and peplum detail. The design served as inspiration for the star’s makeup, which included a matching eye look.

Ahead of her first Academy Awards appearance, the actress opened up about her pre-ceremony regimen, telling PEOPLE, “It’s really all about taking care of yourself.”
Randolph — who not only swept this awards season (taking home a SAG Award, a Golden Globe, a Critics’ Choice Award, a BAFTA, and an Indie Spirit Award for herself Retention performance), but also proved to be a staple on the red carpet — adding, “These six months are a marathon. It’s surreal.”
“I feel like I’m in the Navy or the Marines,” she continued. “I have never experienced anything [like this].”
Calling the experience “uncharted territory,” Randolph added, “Everybody just says pace yourself, try to stay present, stay hydrated and take good care of yourself, because this is a marathon.”

Speaking about her own Oscar nomination, Randolph told PEOPLE, “I’m thrilled.”
“I haven’t fully processed it, but it was overwhelming in the best possible way. And to feel all the love and support was amazing,” she said, adding that “it’s just a wonderful reminder.”
“It’s bigger than us. What we do is actually very important, it helps people and makes people happy or seen or heard,” she added. “That’s why I do what I do.” The 96th Academy Awards will be broadcast live on ABC from the Dolby Theater on Sunday. , March 10 at 7:00 PM ET.
