In an Instagram post on Dec. 27, Dayle’s daughter, Ryan Haddon, remembered her mother with a lengthy tribute. She shared a selection of photos from her mom’s magazine covers, as well as some of the Canadian-born model who works as an ambassador for the humanitarian aid organization UNICEF.

“The bright light that was Dayle has dimmed in this earthly realm. It shines as brightly as ever where it is most needed, I have no doubt,” Ryan began.

“She was a woman in her power, but soft and attentive to everyone. Deeply creative and curious, endowed with beauty inside and out. Always kind and considerate,” she continued of her famous mother. “In conversation she could go to the deepest places and also soar to the highest heights of spiritual understanding. She held them up so much, saw their greatness sometimes hidden from them, and always built bridges with her connections to help them ascend. She was everyone’s greatest champion. An inspiration to many.

“I always believe in timing,” Ryan added in her Instagram caption. “There are no accidents and surely how we enter and exit this world is mystical and unknowable. She was a high-hearted spiritual being who valued the evolution of her soul, so I know her journey here in this dimension must have been completed.

“I honor her. I bow to her. I respect all the paths and adventures I have taken. I saw that she was golden and always reaching for the Light in all areas of her life,” she concluded. “Thank you to everyone who was part of her journey who helped shape, enrich and activate her to become the absolute gem that she is. She loved them so much.”

“Pure heart. A rich inner life. Touching so many lives. A life well lived. Rest in light mom,” Ryan captioned his heartfelt tribute.
