DC Young Fly Pleads for Safe Return of Bag Containing Partner Jacky Oh's Death Certificate

The rapper says his book bag was allegedly stolen from his car while at the Hollywood Improv in LA

DC Young Fly seeks the safe return of the bag that contained his late partner Jacky Oh’s death certificate.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the 31-year-old rapper (born John Whitfield) said his bag was allegedly stolen while he was at the Hollywood Improv comedy club in Los Angeles.

“I just want my bag,” he wrote. “Just politely find a way to return it to me!!!! I had personal items in there!!!!”

The rapper later shared another post asking for the bag’s safe return to the comedian’s club and explaining more about the “personal items” inside.

He began the post, this time a video, saying he was “really trying to hold back on these videos.”

“I just want my book bag, it’s just got some personal stuff in it—– you feel me?” he continued. “Some personal stuff in that f—–, well done.”

The rapper went on to clarify that he’s not looking for a reward — “just the personal s— that’s in there.”

“I really hate having to do all this shit,” he said, adding, “my girlfriend’s death certificate is in the bag. … I just need a bag, bruh.”

Hours later, the rapper posted another video in which he said: “Nothing in the bag is useful,” before adding that he didn’t care about the “couple of dollars” that were in it.

“But just don’t throw the bag in the trash,” he pleaded. “Don’t throw your bag on the street. Just discreetly drop off your bag at the Hollywood Improv and go about your business. I understand.”

The rapper’s announcements come more than eight months after his longtime partner, ex Wild ‘N Out star Jacky Oh, has died suddenly at the age of 33.

Oh died on May 31, 2023, of complications from cosmetic surgery, a representative for the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to PEOPLE last September.

DC Young Fly and Oh met in 2015 and have three children together: Nova, Nala and Prince.
