Dean McDermott made his relationship official on social media.
On Wednesday, May 15, the actor (57) shared a post on Instagram with girlfriend Lily Calo. His post marks the couple’s first appearance on social media.
The photo was shared amid his divorce from his wife of nearly 18 years, Tori Spelling, who officially filed for divorce on March 29.
In his post, McDermott shared a photo of the new couple at The Magic Castle, a private club in Los Angeles, posing hand-in-hand.
“Sometimes you just have to put on your best stuff and take your girl to the Magic Castle. Because she is magical!! 🎩#mylovey,” he captioned the post.
Along with McDermott’s announcement, Calo, senior account manager at health brand Conscious Community Global, shared a sweet photo with the actor. She posted a black and white photo of the couple smiling widely for the camera.
“I have peace and I have love ♥️ #gratefulheart,” she captioned the image.

Spelling, who turns 51 on May 16, commented on Cal’s post: “Love you both ❤️🙌.” She also liked her ex’s post on Instagram.
McDermott was first photographed with Calo in October. Spelling revealed that she spends time with the new couple at family dinners.
“I really like Lily. It’s not bad. It’s just, you know, it’s different,” she said in her episode wrong SPELLING podcast in April.

Before McDermott and Calo shared their photos on Wednesday, the actor filed for divorce from Spelling on May 13. He cited irreconcilable differences but gave a different separation date than his wife, McDermott giving July 7, 2023.
This follows Spelling’s filing six weeks ago, which listed their separation as June 17, 2023 — the same day McDermott announced they had decided to go their separate ways in a later-deleted Instagram post.

Along with the different date, McDermott’s filing also rejects Spelling’s request for sole physical custody of their five children — Liam, 17, Stella, 15, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and Beau, 7. The Canadian actor requested joint physical custody and legal custody instead toga.
He also requested spousal support for himself and termination of spousal support for Spelling. Meanwhile, Spelling previously asked the court to award her spousal support and terminate McDermott’s ability to receive it.
