School Holidays in Delhi: As per the latest updates, all private and government schools in Delhi will remain closed for two days. Schools will remain closed due to increasing pollution in the capital. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made the announcement regarding the school closures on twitter, after it was officially announced that schools are being asked to consider going online amid rising pollution levels. However, according to reports, schools will remain open for teachers and staff members.

Although schools are closed for Delhi region today (November 3) and tomorrow (November 4) 2023, the announcement regarding schools for NCR region is still awaited.

Delhi’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that amid increasing pollution and deteriorating air quality, the next 15 days will be crucial. The minister, according to the media, noted that compared to earlier times, the situation has become better, although experts say that the next 15 days will be crucial. He further added that the government is working on how to reduce exchange rates and the cause of air pollution in the city. The minister called for the cooperation of the central and state governments.

The Minister of the Environment also called for a meeting today to discuss the implementation of Phase 3 of the Graded Response Action Plan.

The air quality index in the capital was in the very poor category for the fifth consecutive day with an air quality index of 346. The AQI recorded for October 31 was 322 and on November 1 it was 327.
