Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert had a glam date after the 2024 Emmy Awards!
The pro-dance couple were dressed down in costumes as they stepped out on Sunday (September 15) to attend the Walt Disney Company Emmy Awards at the Music Center in Los Angeles.
Hough, 39, was dressed in a classic black tuxedo with a peacock feather-like lapel, while Erbert, 29, wore a silver minidress adorned with a feathered centerpiece surrounded by a bodice and bejeweled hem.
The evening out marks one of the couple’s first public events since Erbert underwent an emergency craniectomy in December 2023 after being hospitalized for a cranial hematoma.
She and Hough previously stepped out in June to attend the film’s LA premiere Inside out 2after finishing the Symphony of Dance tour with her husband last month.

In an Instagram post four days after the tour ended in San Diego, Erbert highlighted the highlights of her return to the stage and wrote a tribute to “one of the most fulfilling experiences” of her life.
“The Symphony of Dance tour ended just a few days ago, and I still haven’t found the words to express my emotions,” the dancer wrote. “When we launched it in September, I was on cloud nine; to travel and perform with my new husband, doing the most challenging show I’ve ever done in my life.”
She continued: “Then December 6 came and everything stopped.”
Despite her “uncertainty” about continuing the tour just months after her health scare, Erbert declared: “I DID IT!”
“This tour has rekindled many parts of me that have been blacked out for so long. So, I can’t thank everyone enough who has supported us on this wild journey. I am very grateful to still be here, with all of you, doing what I love,” she concluded. “Thank you, thank you, thank you 🫶.”

A timeline of Hayley Erbert’s health scare and her ongoing recovery
On December 7, 2023, Hough revealed on Instagram that Erbert had been rushed to hospital after experiencing symptoms of a cranial hematoma – when blood collects in the skull – while on tour. A week later, he posted another update saying his wife needed a skull implant to “replace a piece [of the skull] which was removed during a craniectomy.”
Following the surgery, the couple, who married in August 2023, shared an emotional post-surgery Instagram video in which they discussed Erbert’s “miraculous” recovery and thanked everyone who sent her words of support during her recovery.

To mark their first wedding anniversary last month, Dancing with the stars pros shared a video taken on their wedding day, showing them holding hands as they enjoyed a scenic walk along an oceanfront cliff in Monterey, California.
“This past year has been a journey filled with so many challenges, blessings, hardships and triumphs,” Hough wrote in part to his wife. “Through it all, your grace and beauty shone brightly, reminding me every day how blessed I am to walk this path with you.”
He ended his sweet anniversary message to Erbert, “I love you more than words can express. Happy anniversary ❤️.”
