“He is in a stable condition,” announced the judge of ‘Dancing with the Stars’
Derek Hough revealed that his wife Hayley Erbert was hospitalized and went into emergency surgery.
On Thursday, Dancing with the stars the judge, 38, announced on Instagram that his wife is being treated for a cranial hematoma – when blood collects in the skull – after experiencing symptoms while the pair were on their Symphony of Dance tour.
“At the end of last night’s commercial in Washington, DC, my wife Hayley became disoriented and was taken to the hospital,” he wrote. “She was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma due to a ruptured blood vessel and required an emergency craniectomy. She is in a stable condition.”

Under the post, numerous stars and fans congratulated the couple and Erbert’s recovery.
“Prayers and love to you both!!!” Jenna Dewan wrote and Peta Murgatroyd added: “Oh Derek. Please send her our love!!”
Xochitl Gomez also commented: “Focusing all my positivity and well wishes directly on Hayley. She is a shining light 🤍”
“I’m praying for you,” Kevin Jonas said.
Hough and Erbert, 27, were married on August 26 before theirs A symphony of dance the tour started on September 28. There is still no word on whether the upcoming tour dates will be postponed due to Erbert’s health scare.
