Derek Hough said his wife, Hayley Erbert, is going into surgery Wednesday morning to “replace a large part of her skull” that was removed during an emergency craniectomy.
Hough, 38, posted an update on his Instagram Story in the early hours of Wednesday morning, adding: “I firmly believe that all the prayers that have been sent with intention and love for Hayley’s recovery have helped so much. I can’t thank you all enough.”
The Dancing with the stars The judge continued: “Pray for her because I believe the collective energy has helped her through these few weeks. We love you, we thank you.”
On Friday, Hough revealed that Erbert, 29, will need a skull implant in the coming weeks following her craniectomy earlier this month.
“It will restore the skull to its natural shape and protect the brain from injury,” Hough wrote on Instagram.
