Tragically, Connor could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene in Cramlington, Northumberland, on Friday.
Corey was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries, but died a short time later.
His mother Lisa Mavin has since made the heartbreaking revelation of her child’s final moments as she sat by his bedside.
She wrote on Facebook: “My world has come crashing down. I keep looking into his room expecting to see him there.
“I thought I heard him coughing, his little brother asked if it was his voice.
“I have never felt this kind of pain. The last time I heard from him was at 1:55 p.m. that day
“I feel so guilty…I wish it was me, but instead I was laying next to my boy as his heart beat for the last time.”
Two other men in the Suzuki, aged 41 and 17, were seriously injured and are in hospital.
The 36-year-old driver of the Range Rover also suffered serious injuries, while the 52-year-old driver of the Ford was unharmed.
Northumberland Police launched an investigation to find out how the three cars collided.
Sergeant Russell Surrey, from Northumbria Police’s motor patrol unit, said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are firmly with the families and loved ones of the two young people who sadly lost their lives and those who suffered injuries in this collision.
“We will offer them all the support they need and ask that their privacy be respected at this time.”
Anyone with any information is asked to call the police on 101 quoting NP-20231222-1120.
