Dharmanna Kadur is an Indian actress working in the Kannada film industry. He is known for his comedy roles in Kannada films such as Rama Rama Re… (2016), Mugulu Nage (2017), Man of the Match (2022) and Rajayoga (2023).

Dharmanna Kadur was born on Wednesday, February 8, 1984 (age 40; as of 2024) in Kadur, a taluk of Chikkamagaluru district in the state of Karnataka. His zodiac sign is Aquarius. He attended Government Junior College (GJC), Kadur. He grew up watching theater in his hometown and developed a keen interest in performing arts and theater from an early age. He recalled the same incident in an interview, saying:
I grew up going to the theater in my hometown. My father and aunt would sing kolata and sobana padagalu. In school, I acted in many plays like Kuvempu’s Jalagara, Kalki and Ondu Bogase Neeru. “
He would watch movies such as Gauri Ganesha (1991) and Policeena Hendthi (1990) starring veteran comedians Anant Nag and Shashi Kumar. During his school days, Dharmana was the class clown, making everyone laugh by imitating various actors. Dharmanna and Kannada actor Nataraj were classmates of Kadur. Later, both of them studied under veteran actor TS Nagabharana. He studied Kannada at Kuvempu University, Kadur (2002-2005) and obtained a Master’s degree in Kannada Journalism through distance learning.

Dharmanna Kadur started his journey as an actor with co-star Nataraj and director D Satya Prakash. Dharmanna, Satya Prakash and Nataraj’s relationship dates back to before the film “Rama Rama Re…” (2016). They were Kadour’s classmates and worked together in the theater for nearly eight years. Later, Nataraj and Dharmanna also trained under the guidance of veteran actor TS Nagabharana. Eventually, they parted ways and each found their own adventurous path into Sandalwood. Kadour said of their friendship in an interview:
Dharmanna honed her acting skills as a theater artist under the guidance of Yashwanth Sardeshpande Drama Troupe at Hubli Guru Academy in Karnataka. He has starred in several dramas including “All the Best”, “Sahi ri Sahi”, “Hingadra Dot Comedy” and “Ondu Aata Bhattaraddu”.
In 2013, he starred in Daali Dhananjaya’s short film “Jayanagara 4th Block”, which became an instant hit after being released on YouTube. The script has been co-written by Dhananjaya, Sathya Prakash and Nataraj. Jayanagara 4th Block marks the acting debuts of Dhananjaya, Nataraj, Dharmanna and Bimbashree Ninasam and is also the first directorial project of Sathya Prakash. Later, he starred in the short film “I Love You.” Despite her solid foundation, acting in front of the camera was not easy for Dharmanna. In an interview, he talked about filming his debut film Rama Rama Re… (2016), saying:
On the first day of shooting Rama Rama Re, I wasted half a day just for one shot. I told Satya not to waste his time and asked him to take my place. He showed confidence in me and once I hit a good shot, there was no looking back. “
Dharmanna Kadur came into limelight with his debut Kannada film Rama Rama Re… in 2016, in which he played the role of Dharma, with Nataraj co-stars. The film is directed by D. Satya Prakash. Damona wins hearts with his timing, body language and dialogues.
In 2018, she won the “Best Comedy Actor” award at the Radio City Kannada Film Awards held on Radio City 91.1FM for her performance in “Rama Rama Re…” (2016).
He became popular for his role as Prakesh’s friend Gopi in the romantic comedy film Muguru Nagar (2017). In 2019, he starred in the films Rambodhara, Striker, Padde Huli and Kannad Gothilla.
