Dhruv Visvanath is an Indian singer and songwriter who rose to fame as a unique acoustic percussive guitarist, earning him the nickname “The Guitar Spanker”. In 2014, Dhruv became the only Indian to be named among the “30 Great Guitarists Under 30” by Acoustic Guitar magazine. He was a finalist in the 2023 American reality music show My Kind of Country. Dhruv also featured in the song “Khalasi” in Coke Studio Bharat 2023.

Dhruv Visvanath was born in July 1992 in Delhi, India (age 32 in 2024). His zodiac sign is Cancer. He grew up in different cities and countries including the UK, Zambia, Hong Kong, and Mumbai, India.
From 2003 to 2007, he studied at the Hong Kong Island School and completed his secondary education at the Sanskrit School in New Delhi. From 2010 to 2013, he pursued a BA in Geography from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi, while also studying Architecture. His musical journey began with piano classes at the age of 7. He first picked up the guitar at age 13 and learned it through a trial and error method.
