these Diary of a Wimpy Kid the stars are all grown up.
On Tuesday 24.09. Wimpy Kid author Jeff Kinney shared on X a photo of actors Zachary Gordon and Robert Capron, who starred in three 2010-2012 feature films based on his bestselling series.
“These kids and their upside down hats, Mountain Dews and chocolate chip cookies,” Kinney, 53, wrote in the caption. “Nice to see you guys.”
It was played by Gordon, who is now 26 years old Wimpy Kid as Greg Heffley, while Capron, also 26, appeared as Rowley, Greg’s friend. The ensemble included Steve Zahn, Rachael Harris, Devon Bostick and Chloë Grace Moretz, among others.
Gordon, Capron and much of the original cast reprized their roles in two installments before the series was rebooted with an all-new cast for 2017. long way, then an animated adaptation.

Capron had fun with their reunion photo after it went viral on social media. “Yes chef,” he wrote in an Instagram post on Sept. 24, with an image of an X photo that misspelled his name as “Robert Apron.” Capron added a picture of his face superimposed over a kitchen apron as a punctuation mark.
“I would buy,” the official Diary of a Wimpy Kid Instagram account wrote in the comment.
Both Gordon and Capron remain active actors, with the former appearing in films such as American Pie Presents: Girl Rules, dream catcher and Max Dagan in recent years. Capron, meanwhile, has appeared in a number of short films in recent years and shared on Instagram in 2023 that he worked as a writer’s assistant on Disney+ The Muppets Mayhem series. Gordon has also turned to writing and performing music in recent years, with three singles released on Spotify.

Both the actors seem to share fond memories of the shoot Wimpy Kid movies. Gordon took to Instagram for Father’s Day 2023 to share multiple pictures of himself and Zahn, 56, who played his on-screen father in the series.
The couple also posed together for a mini-Wimpy Kid reunion in a photo Gordon shared on social media on March 12, which Gordon captioned, “Zoo-Wee-Mama 🧀🤞🏻,” in reference to the movies.
