Diddy Is Reportedly Trying to Sell His L.A. Mansion That Was Raided by Federal Agents for $70 Million

Sean “Diddy” Combs wants to get rid of a huge chunk of real estate amid ongoing legal troubles.

The rapper reportedly listed his Los Angeles mansion, which was raided by federal agents in March, for $70 million, TMZ reports.

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents raided his properties in LA and Miami on March 26 amid allegations of human trafficking for sexual exploitation in two lawsuits.

“Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York conducted law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with the assistance of HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami and our local law enforcement partners. We will provide additional information as it becomes available, ” a representative for the agency said in a statement to PEOPLE at the time.

Diddy bought the mansion in 2014 for $39 million, according to property records. It is located in the exclusive neighborhood of Holmby Hills, which is also home to the Playboy mansion and the former Spelling estate.

Then the newly built 17,000 square foot European-inspired property includes a 35-seat theater, guest house and swimming pool with grotto connected by an underground tunnel, Los Angeles Times reported at the time.

Diddy took out two mortgages on his LA home, both for $25.35 million, in August 2014 and May 2021, records show. None appear to have been paid. The first should be repaid in full in August 2029, and the second in May 2036.

In May, surveillance footage emerged showing Diddy grabbing, pushing and kicking his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie, during an argument in 2016, matching her allegations in a now-settled lawsuit filed last November.

After CNN released the footage, Cassie, 37, posted a statement on Instagram, expressing her gratitude for the support of family, friends and fans, explaining that “the outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle down and feel safe now.”

“But this is just the beginning,” she wrote. “Domestic violence is a problem. It broke me into someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always recover from the past.”

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs returns the key to New York City after the mayor’s request

Diddy’s attorney, Jonathan Davis, issued the following statement to PEOPLE on July 3: “No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it will not change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone. We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason and without any evidence. Fortunately, there is a fair and impartial judicial process to find the truth and Mr. Combs is confident that he will overcome these and other baseless claims in court.”

Amid public outcry, the mogul returned the accolades, including a key to New York City after the mayor’s request. Howard University also revoked the honorary degree it had awarded him.
