Does anyone else remember this legendary actress? Well, she is now 91 years old, and yes, you read that right, NINETY ONE. Carol Burnett, the iconic American actress and comedian, is best known for her groundbreaking comedy show, The Carol Burnett Show, which aired from 1967 to 1978.
At 91, Burnett continues to captivate audiences with her role in the Apple TV+ series Palm Royale, a drama set in Palm Beach, Florida in 1969.
Born on April 26, 1933, in San Antonio, Texas, Burnett was raised by her grandmother due to her parents’ alcoholism. They moved to Hollywood in the 1940s, and Burnett went on to study theater at the University of Southern California.
Her big break came in 1957 on The Ed Sullivan Show with a comic song parodying young women’s crush on heartthrob Elvis Presley, catapulting her to overnight stardom.
