Donald Trump's Account Shares Video Suggesting 'Unified Reich,' a Term Associated with Nazi-Era Germany

A recent post on former US President Donald Trump’s social media account is raising eyebrows among many, including current President Joe Biden.

A post on Trump’s platform from Monday, May 20, which has since been deleted, consisted of a 30-second video of fake headlines with stories about Trump (77).

Also included was a hypothetical headline that read: “WHAT’S NEXT FOR AMERICA?”, with a subheading below that read: “INDUSTRIAL POWER SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED DRIVEN BY CREATION OF UNITED REICH.”

The term “united Reich” was often used in Nazi-era Germany, as Biden, 81, pointed out in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

In a statement received by several media, including The Washington Post and The New York Timessaid Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt, “This was not a campaign video, it was created by a random online account and reposted by an employee who apparently did not see the word, while [Trump] was in court” on Monday.

Donald Trump says immigrants are ‘poisoning the blood of our nation’, echoing lines from Hitler’s manifesto

She also accused Biden of being a “true extremist,” while 2024 presidential campaign spokesman James Singer said in a statement: “America, stop scrolling and pay attention.”

“Donald Trump isn’t playing games; he’s telling America exactly what he intends to do if he takes power again: rule as a dictator over a ‘unified Reich,'” Singer continued.

He accused Trump of previously “parroting” Adolf Hitler’s 1925 manifesto. “Mein Kampf”while [warning] of bloodshed if [he] lose(s).”

“[It’s] the kind of unbridled behavior you get from a guy who knows that democracy continues to reject his extreme vision of chaos, division and violence,” Singer added in his statement.

New book claims Donald Trump told aides Adolf Hitler ‘did a lot of good things’

Trump, who was in court while facing 34 counts of falsifying business documents, previously drew criticism for his escalating rhetoric on immigration after telling supporters in December 2023 that migrants entering the United States were “poisoning” the nation’s blood . His comments closely mirrored Hitler’s as the German leader argued his case for Nazism.

Addressing a crowd in Durham, New Hampshire, Trump said: “They’ve allowed – I think the real number is 15, 16 million people in our country. When they do, we have a lot of work to do. They poison the blood of our country.”

He continued: “That’s what they’ve done. They’re poisoning mental institutions and prisons all over the world, not just in South America, not just in the three or four countries we’re thinking about, but all over the world. They’re coming to our country from Africa, from Asia, from all over the world.”

Hitler used a similar phrase in his anti-Semitic manifesto Mein Kampfwho set forth an openly racist political ideology and said: “All the great cultures of the past disappeared only because the originally creative race died out from blood poisoning.”
