Perfect for summer, McDonald’s introduces the “McFreezy”

Happy Meal fans are in for a treat as Chicken Mayo, which was already a staple on the Saver Menu, now joins the Happy Meal menu.

Mayo Chicken features crispy chicken coated with lettuce and cold mayo in a super-soft bun.

Next to join the range are fish bites – five bite-sized pieces of pollot in a crispy panko breadcrumb coating.

They are served with your choice of sauce: BBQ, sweet and sour, sweet curry or ketchup.

Fish bites will also be available in a portion of 9 as a side on the main menu for £5.79.

Flavored milk, available in chocolate, strawberry and banana with natural flavors and no added sugar, will also be on the new Happy Meal menu.

Perfect for summer, McDonald’s also introduces the “McFreezy”.

The ice lolly frozen dessert is made from fruit juice and puree and is available in orange or mango and pineapple flavors.

When and where can I get new trial items?

Happy Meals were first introduced in the UK in 1986 after launching in the US seven years earlier in 1979.

They cost around £3.59, but the exact price you’ll pay depends on your location.

However, there is one catch when it comes to the new Happy Meal menu.

The new Happy Meal menu is based on a trial and will only be available in the North West region of the UK and in selected restaurants in the Republic of Ireland.

It will include 187 restaurants in Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, North Yorkshire and the Republic of Ireland.

The new items will be on the menus for 14 weeks from Wednesday 29 May.

But those who can’t get their hands on the new products shouldn’t be too disheartened.

McDonald’s told The Sun that, pending the success of the trial, the new menu items could be rolled out across the country next year.

How to save money at McDonald’s

You might not think so, but you could end up being charged more based solely on the McDonald’s restaurant you choose.

Research by The Sun revealed that a Big Mac meal can be up to 30p cheaper in restaurants just two miles apart.

But you can grab a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 by completing the feedback survey found on every old McDonald’s receipt.

The payment receipt should come with a 12-digit code that you can enter on the Food for Thought website with your submitted survey.

You will then receive a five digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer.

If you sign up for the My McDonald’s app, you can keep up to date with the latest offers.

The app will let you browse the latest menu available at McDonald’s – you can download it for free via Google Play or the App Store.

It works anywhere you have internet, so you can check out what’s on offer while you’re out and about or at home.

Every Monday, the app offers tons of offers that you can earn money on.

You can usually get things like a Big Mac, McMuffin or Filet-O-Fish for just 99p.

You must order it via the app and pick it up at the nearest McDonald’s by 11:59 p.m. that day.

MENU CHANGES THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY

And McDonald’s is changing its main menu next week, and a new burger is on the way.

Twelve menus are being phased out to make way for eight new ones, including a new burger – the Hat Trick.

The burger contains three beef patties, two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard and ketchup wrapped in a sesame glazed bun.

It will be available in McDonald’s restaurants for £5.89 as an individual item and £7.69 as part of a medium meal with drink and side.
