Dorit Kemsley Recalls 4-Hour Therapy Session with Husband PK Where He First Threatened Divorce: 'I Felt Blindsided'

Dorit Kemsley and her husband Paul “PK” Kemsley are further from reconciliation.

During the January 7 episode The Real Housewives of Beverly Hillsreality star, 48, revealed that things between her and her estranged husband, 57, were getting progressively worse as she confided in her fellow housewife, Bozom “Boz” Saint John.

“PK and I, we had four hours of therapy on Monday,” sighed Dorit. “He came in very much with, like, [a] coming into battle [attitude]. Even in therapy, he quips, ‘This is why I want a divorce and I don’t want to be married to this woman.'”

Dorit Kemsley’s estranged husband, PK, calls her ‘total alcoholic’ claims ‘unfair’: ‘Disappointed and upset’

As Boz gasped at the sudden statement, the mum-of-two admitted the heated debate was “the first time” PK had mentioned the divorce.

“I feel blindsided. Boom, there’s a bomb,” she admitted to the cameras. “We were so friendly a few weeks ago that a blow to the neck is hard to bear.”

Dorit revealed that PK ended up “running out of the office and slamming the door.” After the session ended, she recalled facing the harsh reality of what was to come.

“I left that therapy and thought, ‘Oh, no, no, I have to start preparing. I know I have to have a plan for every possible scenario because it’s too unpredictable,'” she said.

In May 2024, Dorit and PK announced they were separating after nine years of marriage in a joint statement shared on their Instagram stories. The couple said at the time that they “made a joint and difficult decision to take some time and reevaluate our relationship while making our children our priority,” adding that they “appreciate your love and support as we continue to do the work that is necessary during this journey.”

The Bravolebrity also spoke about the couple’s decision to split in the RHOBH Season 14 premiere.

Although she loved PK, Dorit admitted that she wasn’t so sure he was willing to put in the “work” for a “healthy, happy, peaceful marriage.” When asked if the duo had told their children — Jagger, 8, and Phoenix, 8 — Kathy Hilton said they had no plans to share the news.

“We can do things as a family, like we’re not in a toxic place. He has a sober coach that I’m not familiar with,” she said of their dynamic, before asserting, “He’s a real alcoholic.”

Shortly after the episode aired, PK hit back at Dorit’s “descriptions” of what led to the end of their relationship and her claim that he was an “alcoholic.”

“Obviously alcoholism had an element of responsibility in the breakdown of our marriage, but that was only a component, wasn’t it?” he said on Bravo Hot Mic Podcastadding that alcoholism is a “symptom” and not a cause. “So the reality is you have to get to what the cause was. So it’s not as simple as saying he was a real alcoholic. That’s why we’re separated.”
