Anshuman Kumar was born on Wednesday, July 12, 1969 (50 years old in 2020) in Patna, Bihar. He completed his MBBS (Hons) degree from Patna Medical College in 1992 and subsequently obtained a postgraduate degree in General Surgery from Aligarh Muslim University in 1995. He then completed his Masters in Surgical Oncology from Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute (GCRI), Ahmedabad. He has also obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Ireland (MRCS). Head and Neck Cancer and Oesophageal Cancer Surgery are among his areas of special interest. With over 18 years of clinical experience in Surgical Oncology, Dr. Anshuman Kumar has single-handedly developed many clinical and surgical approaches and protocols for the treatment of complex cancers. He frequently participates in public programs and lectures on cancer management globally.
