Alfonso Ribeiro’s family is strict about diet.

Ribeiro, 52, did not reveal details of the health battle, but said the whole family now eats “non-toxic” food so their son can live “pain-free”. “We live a completely non-toxic life where we don’t eat any sugar, no gluten, no corn, no dairy, no oats, anything that makes you bloated, we tend to stay away from,” Ribeiro said.
He went on to talk about the importance of food quality: “It’s so crazy, like, we’re all going to put ‘super unleaded’ in our cars, but we’re going to put below ‘regular’ in our bodies, right? And you wonder why we have so many cancers and health problems.”

“People are always in pain. [Since] having learned how to eat properly, I don’t have pain anymore,” he said. “I live an almost pain-free life because nothing is swollen, right?”
And according to the National Institutes of Health, ultra-processed foods (UPF) can create an inflammatory state in the body: “Increased consumption of UPF, which through various mechanisms, can contribute to the promotion of a pro-inflammatory state.”
But while the family has made changes like swapping processed sugar for coconut sugar or honey, Ribeiro says his family doesn’t miss a single tasty treat — thanks to wife Angela, 42, who he says makes delicious dairy-free apple pie and healthier versions of Rice Krispies. delicacy.

“I have some of the best desserts ever because my wife makes them. Like, we want to do a cookbook because of, like, the way she makes cakes,” he raved. “If my kids go to a birthday party, the other kids will eat whatever they’re eating, my wife brings her cakes for the kids to eat.”
“We had a party a little while ago and a bunch of people at the party said, ‘Can we have some more of that cake? I know there’s another cake, but can we have one her cake?'”

“They’re so delicious, and there’s no sugar,” Ribeiro said. As Hall showed off some pictures of his desserts, he joked to the crowd, “You’re going to be hungry!”
