The actress announced herself on social networks with a cheeky video, to which her colleague, it seems, received a cryptic response
But it seems that despite filming the sequel to the Football Factory more than ever, Danny (46) can’t wait to get back to the Square.
This came despite fans’ disappointment over his character’s apparent death by drowning.
In soap opera scenes reminiscent of Den and Angie, the Queen Vic landlord was married to alcoholic Linda Carter.
Mick appears to have died after diving into the sea in an attempt to save his ex-wife, unaware that she had escaped to safety.
Linda is currently played by Strictly Come Dancing star Kellie Bright who is still very much alive and kicking in Albert Square.
Behind the scenes, Kellie, 47, took to social media as she was in full transformation mode as she was dressed in Linda’s costume and had her hair and make-up fully prepped.
In a reference to the recent high-profile Christmas story, she wore a T-shirt that read “I killed Keanu.”
She couldn’t help but be chatty with the loyal EastEnders fans as she exclaimed: “So what’s this? Um, yeah. I just liked it and thought I’d get it.
“You know when you see something and think it’s so me. It’s me that peak.”
She added: “I just had to have it.”
EastEnders fans in shock over Danny Dyer’s explosive exit as Mick Carter – with huge twist
Excited comments flooded her under the post, including one from her ex-husband.
Danny commented: “Oh… Bring Mick back. 💔.”
Fans were completely blown away by the comment, with nearly 3,000 users liking his words at the time of writing.
Other viewers of the soap also took to the comments section to plead with the star to return to Walford.
One fan wrote: “We want you back, Danny L needs his Mick.”
Another noted: “⬆️ @officialdannydyer The only comment that matters! x.”
“Oh please come back, it’s not the same without you😢,” pleaded a third viewer.
Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Please!!! Nice please 😂🥰.”
A fifth fan even had ideas for a comeback story as he suggested: “Yes please bring Mick back… he could easily have been passed out on Whitstable Beach with Amnesia… C’mon they pulled the Dirty Den out of the canal … XXX 🙏.”
